Implementation of the National Strategy Program for Strengthening of the National Statistical System
This is a project to support further enhancement of the quality of statistical products in line with modern information requirements to ensure better consideration and satisfaction of users’ needs in the production of nationally and internationally comparable data and to strengthen monitoring of international development objectives, including key indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ODWC provided key expert input to strengthen the production of national accounts in accordance with the latest international standards and implementation of standards for data and metadata transmission and documentation. ODWC further provided advice on derivation of price indexes, utilization of financial accounts and introduction of SDMX for data transmission.

Implementing in Statistical Practice the Data Needed to Measure Sustainable Development Indicators
This is a project to improve the empirical base for reporting on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) indicators for the total population and for regional population groups of the Russian Federation. This work was undertaken in anticipation of a voluntary national review of SDG indicators in 2019. The overall objective of the project was to develop methodological recommendations for improving the empirical base for implementing in the statistical practice the SDG indicators for the total population and disaggregated by various groups based on UN methodology. ODWC provided key expert input to develop SDG indicators in the areas of inequality and poverty, social protection, undernourishment, healthy lifestyles and living conditions given in the list of SDG indicators adopted by the Custodian Agencies.

National Strategy for Development of Statistics Project in Tajikistan
This project is to strengthen the capacity of the national statistical system of Tajikistan to provide and disseminate statistics for economic and social development policy-making and monitoring national development programs. ODWC provided key expert input on improving the production of national accounts and price statistics, organizational restructuring of the national statistical system and strategic long term planning.

STATCAP-CERDAS: Statistical Transformation and Quality Improvement
This project is to improve the quality, timeliness and openness of statistics produced by the Indonesian Bureau of Statistics (IBS). ODWC was responsible for the development of a user engagement strategy that promoted trust and open interactions between IBS and their users.

National Strategy for Statistical Development
This project entailed the development of a National Strategy for Statistical Development (NSDS) to modernize and reform the statistical activities and overall National Statistical System (NSS) of Mongolia. This was the first strategy drafted ever to incorporate actions to make the data system open.

General Statistical Capacity Building Advice
This project entails providing general advice for statistical capacity building in a variety of contexts. Specifically, ODWC provided policy advice on historical International Comparison Program (ICP) matters, expert support in the development of lending projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Somalia, extension of ECASTAT and policy advice to the Russian Ministry of Finance on financing statistical projects, development of a concept for functional review of statistical systems and testing it in the Gambia, developing methodology for evaluation of statistical systems and testing it in Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries and others.

UN ECA Africa Center for Statistics – Comprehensive Programme on Statistics for 2017 to 2020
The purpose of this assignment was to develop a proposal for a comprehensive programme of support to strengthen national and sub-regional statistical systems in Africa over the period from 2017 to 2020. The programme was implemented by the African Centre for Statistics (ACS) and was guided by the long-term requirements of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

Desk Review of the ICSC Secretariat’s Price Survey Data for New York
The project is aimed to conduct an independent review of the price data for New York City collected by the ICSC Secretariat. ODWC conducted the review, including the assessment of the quality, plausibility, and fitness-for-purpose as a benchmark for price comparisons with other locations of the price data collected by the ICSC Secretariat in New York, recommendations on possible improvement of future price surveys in New York, review of the collected data to ensure compliance with survey guidelines and specifications.

Remuneration of EU staff and related surveys – New York and Washington, DC
The project is aimed to conduct a comprehensive ECP methodology based survey of consumer price levels in Washington, DC and New York City Metropolitan areas, design the methodology, and survey framework, collect data, validate the price data and evaluate the quality of the collected data.
